Taking things personally

Teddy looked at him directly for the first time. ‘Are you a poet?’ he asked.
‘A poet?’ Nicholson said. ‘Lord, no. Alas, no. Why do you ask?’
‘I don’t know. Poets are always taking the weather so personally. They’re always sticking their emotions in things that have no emotions.’

True, poets and artist in general are sensitive people, they are easily affected by anything. Who would have written all these lovely words we read, who have created all these breathtaking artworks if not for the too sensitive hearts of the artists. They notice everything that ordinary eyes are unable to see. They direct us to see the minute details of beauty, for beauty is in their hearts.

    I wish you well.
